EMV
Valves & Accessories
EMV series mechanically actuated seismic valves are designed for use in gas networks and industrial pipelines, especially in earthquake prone areas. The valve cuts off the line when any seismic activity is detected and helps prevent hazardous situations.
Safety
EMV offers safety in earthquake prone areas and can help prevent gas leakages
Media
Can be used with noncorrosive gases such as PNG , LPG, Town Gas, Air, etc.
Easy Installation
With its inline & compact design, EMV valves can be easily mounted on the gas line
Description
ESKA EMV Series Earthquake Valve is a shut-off valve which is activated during seismic oscillation. Activation and non-activation waves are defined in TS 12884 Turkish Standard. This Turkish standard was created based on ANSI Z11 standard in United States.
Once mechanical actuation system senses any seismic oscillation, valve shuts the gas off and needs to be rearmed manually in order to reactivate gas flow. This valve basically is a manual reset, normally open gas valve. Main aim is to decrease the risk of gas leakage related fire, when earthquake occurs. In countries this safety system is available, main regulation is done by fire safety department.
